Prevention & Maintanence

Comprehensive Prevention & Maintenance Program

The Hidden Risk

Research shows that oral problems, such as periodontal disease, can lead to the development of conditions such as cardiovascular disease, bacterial pneumonia, diabetes mellitus, and low birth weight. Further studies are exploring links to osteoporosis and Alzheimer’s disease.

Partners in Protecting Your Health

In our continuous effort to provide patients with the most advanced level of care, Palm Beach Prosthodontics has established a Comprehensive Prevention and Maintenance Program. As part of your appointment with one of our skilled hygienists, we assess the status of your restorations and supporting structures and your potential for developing dental disease. In the event we find an increased risk for dental disease or restorative failure, we recommend a comprehensive preventive plan to reduce your risk level while we continue to care for your current dental needs. This in-depth evaluation also gives us the opportunity to look for signs of oral cancer.

In-House Lab

Dental laboratory Services

Superior Integrity

Having our own in-house dental laboratory enables Palm Beach Prosthodontics to consistently create dental appliances that have superior esthetics and integrity—hallmarks of this practice. Under the supervision and exacting standards of our doctors, our technicians deliver exceptional results. Having our laboratory on site not only accelerates the process of producing each restoration, but also provides face-to-face communication between doctor, technician, and patient, minimizing miscommunication about the case. Shapes and shades are confirmed firsthand—with input from you, the patient. This is an advantage that few practices provide.

Contamination-Free Restorations

To cut costs, many commercial dental laboratories in the United States now are outsourcing work to offshore laboratories in countries including China, Mexico, India, Pakistan, South Korea, the Philippines, Jamaica and Costa Rica.Under the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, the FDA requires dental laboratories to disclose to dentists where their cases are manufactured, but there is no requirement for disclosure to you, the patient, on “country of origin” for dental appliances and restorations or what materials were used in their fabrication.
It is vitally important to know where your dental restorations are produced and what they contain, particularly for patients with specific metal allergies. Palm Beach Prosthodontics is proud to be able to assure patients that our dental appliances and restorations are produced in the USA using FDA-certified materials.
